Salsa Dancing Can Change Your Life

Salsa Dancing Can Change Your Life

Imagine one day you were walking down the street and you saw a sign in big letters down the side of a building, saying SALSA.

That is what happened to me in Charing Cross in London on a cold day in 2005. I had always wanted to salsa but never had the opportunity until then. I went inside what I had discovered was Bar Salsa and they told me there was a class that night and gave me a leaflet with a number. When I phoned the lady instructor, Karin Oliver at Latin Krazy said; ” Come on down, you don’t need a partner.”

So I did. I signed up for 2 hours of classes and at the end having learned quite a lot I thought I knew how to dance. It was the best two hours I had had on the dance floor up to that point. Then the party started and the music was so fast I couldn’t dance a single step but I didn’t let it put me off and went back again and again.

I had been introduced to a whole new world and in the years since then, I’ve met many great teachers, instructors, performers, and personalities, and having learned from the best of them I’ve gone on to teach many pupils Salsa and Bachata, from beginners to advanced.

It changed my life.

So if you get the opportunity you shouldn’t hesitate; you never know where it will lead. Finding the nearest classes are easy and it opens up a whole new nightlife you never knew existed.
